Sergeant First Class Banks was a member of the 2nd Replacement Company, 2nd Infantry Division. He was seriously wounded by the enemy in South Korea on September 15, 1950 and returned to duty on October 14, 1950. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy in South Korea on May 18, 1951. Sergeant First Class Banks was awarded the Purple Heart, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Korean War Service Medal.
Spencer L. Lockhart 1929 October 7, 1951 Private First Class, U.S. Army 53056861 Toombs Georgia Killed in Action
Private First Class Lockhart was a member of the 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy in North Korea on October 7, 1951. Private First Class Lockhart was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Infantryman's Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Korean War Service Medal.
William Silas Smith 1931 September 1, 1950 CORPORAL, U.S. Army 14333715 Toombs Georgia Missing in Action - Presumed Dead
Corporal Smith was a member of Company E, 2nd Battalion, 9th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division. He was listed as Missing in Action while fighting the enemy in South Korea on September 1, 1950. He was presumed dead on December 31, 1953. Corporal Smith was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Infantryman's Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
