This year, Toombs County will celebrate its 100th anniversary; and, in preparation for the big day, a committee has been formed from all areas of the county.

Ann Todd serves as the Chair and says although the committee has begun, there’s still room for more ideas.

“We want the community to provide us with input as to what they want in the celebration of the 100th year for Toombs County,” Todd said, “None of us will be here for the bi-centennial, so it’s important that we make this the best one possible.”

Officially, the celebration will take place on Thursday, August 18, but celebrations around the county all year will recognize the milestone.
