Mrs. Janice Clarke Partin, age 50, Lyons, died Thursday, December 18, 2003, at her residence after an extended illness.
She was a native of Toombs County, living most of her life there. She was emplyed with the Peoples Bank in Lyons for 16 years, was a Vice President with Mount Vernon Bank for three years and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her husband, Kendall E. Partin, Lyons; one daughter, Kristie Ann Daniels, Lyons; two sons and daughter-in-law, Wesley and Cori Daniels, Augusta, and Dustin Partin, Lyons; one grandson, Jacob Kendall Daniels, Lyons; her partents, Curtis and Ann Clarke, Vidalia; one sister, Joyce Ann Clarke, Augusta; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, December 20, 2003, at 2:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Lyons with Rev. Brian Patrick and Rev. Joe Phillips officiating. Interment followed in the Hardens Chapel Cemetery near Lyons.
Active pallbearers were Randy Grimm, Riley Brantley, David Clarke, Steve Mosley, Monty Usher and Phil Bailey. Honorary pallbearers were employees of Mt. Vernon Bank including Don, Bob and Alan Thigpen, Vela Davis, Gail Measows, Judy Foskey, Cindy Butler, Donna Vicks, Julie and Michelle Johnson, Jeanne Gassem, Kaye Lupo, Sabrina Taylor, Tammy Matthews, Gina Davis, Bruce Bass and Cindy Howell.
Murchison Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
