Mr. Bob P. Anderson, age 67, died Sunday, April 17, 2005, after an extended illness.
He was a native of Tattnall County, living most of his life in the area and later moving to Savannah. He taught and coached at Collins and Oak Park schools. He retired from CSX Railroad as a railroad engineer after 40 years of service. He was a member of the Rothwell Baptist Church in Pooler.
Survivors include his wife, Teri C. Anderson, Cobbtown; two sons and daughter-in-law, Thomas “Buster” Anderson, Orange Park, Florida, and Robert D. and Casey Anderson, Cobbtown; two daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah Anderson-Shrader and Paul Shrader, Fernandina Beach, Florida, and Michelle Anderson-Hadley and John Hadley, Lyons; his mother, Eudell M. Anderson, Cobbtown; two brothers, W.S. Anderson, Garden City, and Winston Anderson, Cobbtown; one sister, Sandra A. Burroughs, Cobbtown; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, April 20, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. in Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel with Rev. Ellis Moore officiating. Interment followed in Connors Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jamie Burroughs, Will Burroughs, Earl Mitchum, Jimmy Mixon, Stan Anderson and Mitch Anderson.

Mrs. Clara Allen Youngblood Brannen, age 81, Statesboro, died Thursday, April 21, 2005, in St. Joseph’s Candler Hospital in Savannah after an brief illness.
She was a native of Bulloch County, living most of her life in the area. She was a member of the Statesboro First Baptist Church where she was a member of the Faith Sunday School Class. She is preceded in death by one son, Ricky Youngblood.
Survivors include her husband, Paul W. Brannen, Statesboro, one daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Jim Roberson, Vidalia; one son and daughter-in-law; Don C. and Karen Youngblood; two stepsons, Wayne P. Brannen and Douglas Brannen, both of Statesboro; one sister, Mary A. Brown, Millen; one brother, Paul W. Allen; and nine grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday, April 24, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. in First Baptist Church with Rev. John Waters officiating. Interment followed in Bulloch Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were grandsons. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Faith Sunday School Class and Myrtice Akins.

Mrs. Emma L. Brantley Cauley, age 79, Mt. Vernon, died Saturday, April 16, 2005, in Memorial Medical Center of Savannah after a brief illness.
She was a native of Treutlen County, living most of her life in Mt. Vernon. She was a member of Rosemont Primitive Baptist Church. She worked for several years in the cafeterias of both the public schools and Brewton-Parker College. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Essie Simpson Brantley.
Survivors include her husband, Willie C. Cauley, Mt. Vernon; one daughter and son-in-law, Judy C. and Jim Salem, Vidalia; two grandsons and spouse, Daniel J. Salem and Michael and Marissa Tomlin Salem; two great-grandchildren, Logan and Mikenna; two sisters, and brother-in-law, Johnnie Orth, Brandenton, Florida, and Oloise and Coy Hester, Dublin; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, April 19, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Murchison Funeral Home with Rev. Herschel Clements and Rev. W.R. Connell officiating. Interment followed in Braddy Cemetery of Kibbee.
Pallbearers were Bud, Hoke, Frank and James Brantley and Archie, Alton and Archie Paul Johnson.

Mrs. Avis Clark died Sunday, April 17, 2005.
She was a native of Natchez, MS, living in Raymond, MS for many years. She was secretary for President George McLendon at Hinds Junior College where she taught several academic courses and worked with youth groups. She worked for Hinds County Co-Op for 26 years. She was an active member of Raymond Presbyterian Church, and was a teacher of adult Sunday School class and Bible Studies. She served with the Cub Scouts and the Parent Teacher Association and was an active supporter of Palmer Horne for Children in Columbus, MS. She was a resident of Bethany Assisted Living of Vidalia. She attended the Metter Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, L.K. Clark.
Survivors include two sons, Robert L. Clark, Cary, N.C., and Charles “Chuck” Clark, Metter; two grandchildren, Marcia Clark Green, Atlanta, and Sgt. Andrew Kenneth Clark, Ft. Hood, Texas; and two great-grandchildren, Alisha Nicole Clark and Caroline Caterson Greene.
Local visitation was held Wednesday, April 20, 2005, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. in Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel of Metter. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, April 23, 2005, at 1:00 p.m. in the Raymond Presbyterian Church. Interment followed in Natchez Cemetery.

Retired LTC Henry Horry “Hank” Hair III, age 69, died Saturday, April 23, 2005, at his home in Lakeland, Florida.
He was a native of Live Oak, Florida. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was awarded the Congressional Legion of Merit, two Bronze Stars and three Army Commendation Medals. He was advisor to the Mayor of Saigon and was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal by the Vietnamese government. He was a former ROTC instructor. He was preceded in death by his father, Senator Horry Hair, Jr.
Survivors include his wife, DeAnn Hair; one daughter, Lisa Hair Farr, Lakeland; two sons, Henry “Hank” H. Hair IV, Cumming, Georgia, and John E. Hair, Lakeland; his mother, Frances Strickland Hair, Tallahassee; one brother, Mattox S. Hair, Jacksonville; one sister, Carol Hair Moore, Tallahassee; and seven grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted Friday, april 29, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. in Live Oak Cemetery, Live Oak.

Mr. Arthur J. Vornbaum, age 82, Statesboro, died Monday, April 18, 2005, in the Statesboro Nursing Home.
He was a native of New Jersey, living in Savannah for many years and later moving to Statesboro. He was a retired Maintenance Supervisor. He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Rollison Vornbaum.
Survivors include one niece, Nancy Panzanna, Linden, N.J.; and one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Raymond and Eloise Rollison, Lyons.
Graveside services were conducted Wednesday, April 20, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. in Ohoopee Cemetery in Lyons.

Mr. Delmas Wheeler, age 90, Vidalia, died Wednesday, April 20, 2005, at Summers Landing in Vidalia after an extended illness.
He was a native of Treutlen County, living in Vidalia for many years. He was a veteran of World War II, serving as Captain in the Corps of Engineers. He was retired from the insurance and Real Estate Appraisal Business. He served as chairman of both the Vidalia and Toombs County Public Library boards. During his chairmanship, the present library building was constructed and the Ohoopee Regional Library was organized. He served as a member of the Georgia Library Association board, President of the Georgia Library Trustee Association and 10 years as Chairman of the Georgia Board of Certification of Libraries. He was a member of the original Vidalia Recreation Board, President of the Community Concert Association and a member of the first Board of Directors and Vice President of the Ohoopee Regional Council for the Arts. He served on the original Board of the City Beautification Commission. He served as Director and Vice President of the Vidalia Chamber of Commerce and was named Vidalia Citizen of the Year in 1964. He was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Annunciation and served on numerous capacities, including the committee of the newly constructed church building and at different time served three terms as senior warden of the vestry. He was preceded in death by his wire, Miriam Lanier Wheeler.
Survivors include two daughters and son-in-law, Lyn and Virgil Dedas, Spokane, Washington, and Susan Wheeler, New haven, Connecricut; one sister, Mary W. Cirover, Williamsburg, Virginia; three grandchildren, Courtney Strange and Virginia Dedas, Spokane, and John Byck, New Haven; two nieces; and three nephews.
Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, April 30, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. at the Episcopal Church of the Annunciation, 1512 Meadows Lane, Vidalia, GA 30474 or Altama Museum of Art and History, 611 Jackson Street, Vidalia, GA 30474.

Mr. Derwood “Woody” Wrenn, age 70, Vidalia, died Tuesday, April 19, 2005, in Meadows Regional Medical Center of Vidalia after a brief illness.
He was a native of Treutlen County, residing in Vidalia for many years. He was retired from the U.S. Navy and was Baptist by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Elaine Dixon Wrenn, Vidalia; three daughters, Kimberly Wrenn, Stacy Jones and Ja Layne Jenkins, all of Vidalia; one son, Kip Jenkins, Waynesboro; two sisters, Eunita Moss, Kite, and Dina Sue Jones, Soperton; one brother, Myron Wrenn, Charleston, S.C.; and four grandchildren, Jaden Whitehurst, Camden Whitehurst, Casen Jones and Katelyn Osborne, all of Vidalia.
Funeral services were conducted Friday, April 22, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. in the Ronnie L. Stewart Family Funeral Service Chapel of Vidalia with Rev. Jimmy Smith officiating. Interment followed in Lakeview Memorial Gardens with full military honors.
