Ruth Robinson Boatright, 74, Obituary

[Macon, Bibb County, Georgia]

Macon, Bibb County, Georgia - Esther Lurline Gillis, died Sept. 28 at home.

She was a native of Brooksville, Fla., and lived most of her life in Toombs County. She moved to Macon five years ago. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church in Vidalia.

SURVIVORS: three daughters, Cherry Taylor and Nancy Boatright, both of Macon, and Benjy Collins of Vidalia; two sisters, Louise Jones of Vidalia and Pauline Driggers of Savannah; a brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Mildred Robinson; seven grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Graveside services were held Thursday in Pinecrest Cemetery in Vidalia.

he Toombs County native lived in Reidsville most of his life. He attended Elza Baptist Church.

SURVIVORS: his parents, Christine and Edwin Spikes of Reidsville; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

VISITATION: 7-9 p.m. today at McCall Funeral Home, Reidsville.

FUNERAL: 2 p.m. Saturday at Elza Baptist Church, burial in Reidsville City Cemetery.

William H. Tillman, 72, Obituary

[Lyons, Toombs County, Georgia]

Lyons, Toombs County, Georgia - William H. Tillman, 72, died Sept. 22 at Toombs Nursing Home.

He was born and educated in Lyons. He was a laborer and a member of Oakey Grove Baptist Church in Lyons.

SURVIVORS: his wife, Ella Mae Tillman of High Springs, Fla.; three daughters, Willie Mae Tillman of High Springs, Rosa Ann Perry of Providence, Fla., and Ruby Lee Ervin of Germany; a sister, Ollive Hunt of Lyons; a brother, Clyde Tillman of Lyons; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

FUNERAL: 11 a.m. Friday at Oakey Grove Baptist Church, burial in Tillman Cemetery in Ohoopee.
