The Lyons Progress - In late 1903, L. A. Moore, a newspaper man from Savannah, moved to the community and established the Lyons Progress which published its first issue in January, 1904. Jan. 1911-Jun. 1991. Purchased by the Vidalia Advance and title changed to Advance-Progress. Jul. 3, 1991-present.
