Willie Geneva Sammons Willis Obituary

Savannah, Chatham County, Georgia - Willie Geneva Sammons Willis, 84, died Dec. 24 at Columbia Augusta Medical Center in Augusta.

She was a native of Treutlen County and a lifelong resident of Montgomery County. She was a homemaker and a member of Ruths Chapel United Methodist Church.

SURVIVORS: her husband, J.E. Willis of Vidalia; three daughters, Joyce Waters and Pat Willis, both of Vidalia and Johnnie Sanders of Soperton; a son, William "Bo" Willis of Vidalia; four sisters, Myrtice Way and Flo Davis, both of Vidalia, Nina Hobbs of Milledgeville and Wilma Taylor of Elberton; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

VISITATION: 7-9 p.m. today at Murchison Funeral Home in Vidalia.

FUNERAL: 2 p.m. Sunday at Ruths Chapel United Methodist Church, burial in the church cemetery.
