Curtis Cason Obituary

VIDALIA, TOOMBS COUNTY, GEORGIA - Curtis Cason, 77, died June 5 at home.

He was born in Montgomery County and was a member of Hill Chapel Baptist Church in Higgston.

SURVIVORS: a daughter, Mary M. Lewis of Vidalia; a son-in-law, Willie Lewis of Vidalia; and three grandchildren, Jannese Hinton and Demetrius Lewis, both of Vidalia, and Anthony Lewis of Statesboro.

FUNERAL: 1 p.m. Saturday at Hill Chapel Baptist Church, Higgston, burial in Mount Moriah Cemetery, McGregor.

Joseph Jeofry Jones Obituary

ALMA, BACON COUNTY, GEORGIA - Joseph Jeofry Jones, 63, died June 7 at Medical College of Georgia in Augusta.

He was born in Toombs County and was an Army veteran. He was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church in Lyons, Mount Temah Lodge and the Order of Eastern Star.

SURVIVORS: his wife, Gwendolyn Mann of Lyons; five daughters, Sharon Chisholm of Detroit, Genelda Carswell of Macon, Melba Mann of Reidsville, Athalia Brown of Lexington Park, Md., and Aleta Freeman of Atlanta; a son, Terrell Freeman of Pope, N.C.; his mother, Orean Mann of Lyons; four sisters, Maudie Adams of St. Petersburg, Fla., Melouise Dearman of Los Angeles, Earlenn Lucas of Lyons and Barbara Johnson of Jacksonville, Fla.; and two brothers, James Mann of Jacksonville and Donnie Mann Jr. of Lyons.

VISITATION: 6-9 p.m. today St. Paul Baptist Church, Lyons.

FUNERAL: 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Baptist Church, burial in Oakey Grove Cemetery, Johnson Corner.
