Lyons, Toombs County, Georgia - Clydie Thompson Cullum, 93, died Jan. 13.
She was a native of Toombs County and a resident of Jacksonville, Fla., most of her adult life. She retired as a secretary for H.H. Simmons Realty in Jacksonville. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Jacksonville and was active in many church functions. She was the widow of Roy C. Cullum.
SURVIVORS: two sisters, Callie Owen of Webster, Fla., and Claudie Alexander of Lyons.
VISITATION: 6-8 p.m. today at Jones-Stewart Funeral Home in Lyons.
FUNERAL: 10 a.m. Saturday at South Thompson Baptist Church near Vidalia, burial in South Thompson Church Cemetery.

Vidalia, Toombs County, Georgia - Julius Johnson, 83, died Jan. 13 at Summers Landing Personal Care Home.
He was born in Toombs County and lived in Savannah for many years before moving back to Vidalia a year ago. He retired from Atlantic Towing Co. and was in the merchant marine during World War II. He was a Baptist.
SURVIVORS: a daughter, Annette D. Moylan of Savannah; three grandchildren, Carole Massey of Savannah, James Moylanof Birmingham, Ala., and Gary Moylanof Irvin, Calif.; four nephews, James, Johnny and Fred Johnson, all of Lyons, and Robert Johnson of Albany: and six great-grandchildren.
VISITATION: 5-8 p.m. today at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
FUNERAL: 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel, burial in Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park.

She was born in Vidalia and attended Georgia public schools. She was a member of First African Baptist Church.

VISITATION: all day today at Vidalia Funeral Home.

Vidalia, Toombs County, Georgia - Mrs. Cora Lee "Pat" McLeod, 79, died Jan. 13 at Memorial Medical Center in Savannah from injuries in an auto accident.
She was a lifelong resident of Toombs County. She was a homemaker and a member of Old Line Primitive Baptist Church in Vidalia. She was the widow of C.L. McLeod.
SURVIVORS: a stepdaughter, Beverly Masters of Charlotte, N.C.; a stepson, Randall McLeod of Higgston; two brothers, Lester and Ernest Colson, both of Lyons; three sisters, Alice Mosley and Alma Higgs, both of Lyons, and Birtie Cooper of Swainsboro; and several nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: 6-9 p.m. today at Ronnie L. Stewart & Son Funeral Service in Vidalia.
FUNERAL: 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Old Line Primitive Baptist Church, burial in Pinecrest Cemetery in Vidalia.

Savannah, Chatham County, Georgia - Mrs. Lucille Chalker Varnadoe, 82, died Jan. 12 at Tara at Thunderbolt Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born in Emanuel County and formerly worked for Hunt-Wesson Oil as a machine operator. She then worked for Union Camp Corp as a machine operator. She later worked as substitute teacher for the Savannah-Chatham County Board of Education.
She was a member of C.P. Miller Memorial United Methodist Church, served as church treasurer, financial secretary, was a member of the James Herrington Sunday School Class and served as a Sunday school and vacation bible school teacher. She was also active in the Women's Society of Christian Service.
SURVIVORS: her husband, Otis Varnadoe of Savannah; and several nieces and nephews.
FUNERAL: was held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Hubert C. Baker Funeral Home, with burial at 4 p.m. in Lyons City Cemetery, Lyons.
REMEMBRANCES: C.P. Miller Memorial United Methodist Church.

She was a native of Coffee County and a former resident of Jeff Davis County. She lived in Vidalia the past 12 years. She was the widow of W.H. Yawn and was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church.
SURVIVORS: a daughter, Daisy Elaine Yawn McGill of Vidalia; five grandchildren, Melba Cooper of Vidalia, Linda Poole and Michael Yawn, both of Pooler, Diane Brown of Tybee Island and Bud McGill of Marietta; 13 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
VISITATION: will begin at 5 p.m. today at Miles Funeral Home in Hazlehurst.
FUNERAL: 2 p.m. Saturday at Miles Funeral Home, burial in Yawn Cemetery near Hazlehurst.
