Lyons, Toombs County, Georgia - Paul E. Edenfield, 81, died May 15 at Meadows Regional Medical Center.
The Emanuel County native lived in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., for 10 years before moving to Toombs County in 1995. He retired from the Fort Lauderdale Fire Department. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in Europe, and a member of Mount Shady Baptist Church.
SURVIVORS: a sister, Christine E. Coleman of Lyons; four brothers, Alfred M. Edenfield, Lloyd C .Edenfield, Mandel M. Edenfield and Runt Edenfield, all of Lyons; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: 7-9 p.m. today at Jones-Stewart Funeral Home in Lyons.
FUNERAL: 3 p.m. Thursday at Jones-Stewart Funeral Home, burial in Lyons City Cemetery.

Vidalia, Toombs County, Georgia - Dessie B. Harrell, 79, died May 15 at Meadows Nursing Center of Vidalia.
The native of Treutlen County lived in Vidalia the past 40 years. She was a member of the Vidalia and Lyons Senior Citizens and attended North Thompson Baptist Church. She was a retired seamstress and a homemaker.
SURVIVORS: two daughters, Hazel Williams of Vidalia and Wynoka Foskey of Lyons; five sons, William L., James Rooster, O.C., David and Peabody Harrell, all of Vidalia; a sister, Queen Humphrey of Vidalia; a brother, Jay Blaxton of Soperton; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
VISITATION: 7-9 p.m. today at Ronnie L. Stewart Family Funeral Service.
GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 11 a.m. Thursday in Blockers Chapel Cemetery.

Richmond Hill, Bryan County, Georgia - Roger L. Sikes, 78, died May 11 at Hospice Savannah.
The Claxton native moved to Richmond Hill 12 years ago from Savannah. He served in the Army during World War II and received the Purple Heart. He was a retired mechanic, having worked for Grainger Auto Parts, Garden City. He was a member of Bona Bella Baptist Church.
SURVIVORS: his wife, Kathryn Sikes of Richmond Hill; five daughters, Joyce Stevens of Savannah, Vickey Sneath of Canton, Mich., Donna Moore and Tina Pittman, both of Richmond Hill, and Kathy Thompson of Waynesville; a brother, Bill Sikes of Vidalia; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL: was held at 11 a.m. Monday at Richmond Hill Funeral Home, entombment in Hillcrest Abbey West, Savannah.
