The Rev. Arman Heath Bazemore, 73, Obituary

Lyons, Toombs County, Georgia - The Rev. Arman Heath Bazemore, 73, died Oct. 27 at Bethany Home Nursing Center, Vidalia.

The Taylor County native was a resident of Lyons since 1973. He graduated from Mercer University, Macon, and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, Ky. He retired as chaplain for the Georgia State Prison in Reidsville with 20 years of service.He also retired as a Southern Baptist minister, pasturing several churches including Edison and Collins. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Lyons. He was a member of Lyons Lions Club, serving five years as secretary.

SURVIVORS: his wife, Betty Bazemore of Lyons; a daughter, Mary H. Bazemore of Lyons; three sons and a daughter-in-law, J. Stan Bazemore of Lyons, Joe L. Bazemore of Atlanta and B. Clegg Bazemore and Peachy Bazemore of Acworth; a sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Walter Wainwright of Hazlehurst; and two grandsons, Heath and Matthew Bazemore of Acworth.

VISITATION: 7-9 p.m. today at Murchison Funeral Home.

FUNERAL: 3 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church of Lyons, burial in Lyons City Cemetery.

REMEMBRANCES: First Baptist Church of Lyons, 183 West Liberty St., Lyons, GA 30436; or, Georgia Lions Camp for the Blind, 5626 Laura Walker Road, Waycross, GA 31503.

Mrs. Gearaldeen Tuten Conner, 77, Obituary

Lyons, Toombs County, Georgia - Mrs. Gearaldeen Tuten Conner, 77, died Oct. 27 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Savannah.

The lifelong resident of Toombs County retired from Toombs Central School as a cafeteria employee. She was a member of Hardens Chapel United Methodist Church.

SURVIVORS: two daughters, Carolyn Swain and Helen Lawrence, both of Lyons; a son, Martha Tuten of Lyons; a brother, T.W. Tuten of Lyons; 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

FUNERAL: 4 p.m. today at Hardens Chapel United Methodist Church, burial in Harden Chapel Cemetery.

Murchison Funeral Home, Vidalia.
