Mr. William Kenneth Flanders Obituary

Lyons, Toombs County, Georgia - Mr. William Kenneth Flanders, 85, died Friday, December 27, 2002 at his residence after an extended illness. A native of Emanuel County, he lived most of his life in Toombs County. He was retired from Price Chevrolet Company in Charlottesville, VA, was a U. S. Army Air Force veteran of WWII, was a member of the American Legion, a member of the Lyons Masonic Lodge, a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lyons, a member of the Methodists Mens Club, and the mens Bible Class.

Survivors: two sisters, Alice Flanders of Swainsboro, Martha Nelle Braziel of Lyons; one brother, Maxwell Flanders of Lyons; one stepson, Tom Schulte of Jacksonville, FL; and several nieces and nephew.

Visitation: 4:00p. m.-7:00p. m., Sunday at the funeral home.

Funeral Services: 11:00 a. m., Monday, Dec. 30 at the Firs United Methodist Church of Lyons with Rev. James Aycock and Dr. Max Hill officiating.

Burial: Lakeview Memorial Gardens near Vidalia.

Robert Felton Young Obituary

Collins, Tattnall County, Georgia - Robert Felton Young, 91 died Wednesday, December 25, 2002 at his granddaughters home in Vidalia. The Washington County native received his BA degree from Georgia Teachers College, now Georgia Southern University, and his MBA from the University of Georgia. He was principal in Alverton and Nevills, GA and retired as principal of Collins High School after 22 years there. He was a member of Collins Baptist Church and the Retired Teachers Assocation. He was predeceased by his wife, Addie Hall Young.

Survivors: sons, Rodney F. Young of Stockbridge and Harvel Young of Vidalia; daughter, Gloria Y. Webb of Merrimack, N.H; brother, Frank Lewis Young of Sandersville; sisters, Madolyn Burkhalter of Augusta and Helen Woods of Macon; four grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services: 11:00 a. m., Tuesday, Dec. 31 at the Collins Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.

Visitation: 6:00 p. m.- 9:00 p. m. at Kennedy-Morgan Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel.
