Mr. George G. Flowers Obituary

Lyons, Toombs County, Georgia - Mr. George G. Flowers, 66, died Sunday afternoon, November 17, in the University Hospital of Augusta, after an extended illness.

A native and lifelong resident of Toombs County, he was retired from Toombs County as a heavy equipment operator and was a Baptist by faith.

Survivors: his wife, Barbara Burton Flowers of Lyons; two sons and daughters-in-law, Rocky and Renee Flowers and Chris and Harriet Flowers, all of Lyons; one brother, Jim Paul Flowers of Lyons; four sisters, Dorothy Edwards, Barbara Copeland, and Yvonne Clark, all of Lyons, and Juanita Copeland of Conyers; three grandchildren; Kristen, Makayla, and Dilan Flowers, all of Lyons; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 6:00-9:00 p. m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Funeral: 2:00 p. m. Wednesday from the chapel of Jones-Stewart Funeral Home of Lyons, with Rev. Jesse Browning and Rev. Glen Russell officiating. Burial: Flowers Family Cemetery near Lyons.

Lyons, Toombs County, Georgia - Mr. David A. Griffis, 39, died November 17.

Survivors: wife, Mary Griffis; sons, Christopher and Joshua Griffis; parents, Weyman and Catherine Griffis; and a sister, Melissa Griffis.

Visitation: 6:00-9:00 p. m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Funeral: 3:00 p. m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Burial: Zion Church Cem. David E. Miles Funeral Home.
