Mr. James M. "Mac" Chandler, Sr., Obituary

Lyons, Toombs County, Georgia - Mr. S. E. Phillips, 82, died Sept. 11 at Tattnall Memorial Hospital, Reidsville. He was a native of Tattnall County, having lived all his life in Toombs County and was a farmer.

Survivors: sisters, Ila Mae Harrell of Christianburg, VA and Jenita Phillips of Lyons; brothers, Wilbur Phillips of Lyons and Earl Phillips of Lincolnton; several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service: 2:00 p. m. Saturday, Sept. 14, at Mt. Moriah Methodist Church with Reverend Marshall Singletary and Reverend Russ New officiating.

Burial: Church Cemetery. The body will be at his residence, 1346 Hwy. 147, Lyons until funeral time.

Mrs. Edna Annie Lou Coe Powell Obituary

Lyons, Toombs County, Georgia - Mrs. Edna Annie Lou Coe Powell, 89, died Thursday, Sept. 12, in Toombs Nursing and Intermediate Care Home of Lyons after an extended illness. A native and lifelong resident of Toombs County, she was a homemaker and a member of Center United Methodist Church.

Survivors: daughters and sons-in-law, Nevelyn and R. N. Hackle of Jeffersonville and Louise and Billy Poole of Hinesville; sons and daughters-in-law, Woodrow and Ellie Powell of Lyons and Harry and Lynn Powell of Lyons; sister, Cherrie Mae Peebles of Rincon; brother, Curtis Coe of Darien; 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services: 3:00 p. m. Saturday, Sept. 14, in the chapel of Murchison Funeral Home with Reverend W. R. Connell and Reverend Brian Powell officiating.

Burial: Center United Methodist Church Cemetery.
