Miss Lillian Eason Obituary

Reidsville, Tattnall County, Georgia - Miss Lillian Eason , 86, died Monday, December 30, 2002, at Toombs Nursing Home.

The Tattnall County native had lived in Reidsville most of her life. She was retired from the Tattnall County School System as the Curriculum Director and was the past state President of the Georgia Association of Curriculum Directors. She was the first lady trustee of the Tattnall County Campgrounds. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, the DAR, the Reidsville Rascallettes, and the Retired Teachers Association. She was a member of the Reidsville United Methodist Church, where she was the first lady chairperson of the Official Board. She taught the Lillian Eason Sunday School Class for many years. She was also a member of the Wesleyan Service Guild and the 60-more-or-less group.

Survivors: two sisters, Virginia Kicklighter of Reidsville and Martha Jean Smith of Orlando, FL; seven nieces, Linda Berry of Auroro, CO, Dr. Jackie Swensson of Denver, CO, Cindy Moore of Ollney, TX, Phyllis Geissek of Taft, CA, Angie Kappes of Reidsville, Vicki Rose of Orlando, FL, and Kim Jones of Groveland, FL; a nephew, Johnny Shuman of Swainsboro; and several grandnieces and grandnephews.

Funeral: 2:00 p. m. Thursday, January 2, 2003, at the Reidsville United Methodist Church, with The Rev. Marshall Singletary officiating. Burial: Reidsville City Cemetery.

Visitation: begins at 6:00 p. m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials: Reidsville United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 218, Reidsville, GA 30453. Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home.
