Willie Elizabeth Grier Blalock Obituary

Claxton, Evans County, Georgia - Willie Elizabeth Grier Blalock, died at her residence Monday, January 27,2003 after an extended illness.

Mrs. Blalock was born in Savannah on March 31, 1915. She spent her early years in Collins, Georgia, but lived most of her life in Evans County. Mrs. Blalock was a true homemaker. She was a loyal member of the Bellville United Methodist Church where she served in many leadership roles over the years, including president of the United Methodist Women. She was a member of the choir and taught a Sunday School Class.

Survivors: her husband, Leonard D. Blalock of Claxton; two sons and daughters-in law, David and Patsy Blalock of Vidalia and Chester and Wanda Blalock of Claxton; two sisters, Mrs. George L. Harrell of Savannah and Mrs. E. E. Hansen of Dublin; a sister-in-law, Mrs. T. F. Grier of Swainsboro; five grandchildren, Shane, Tim, Denise, Beth, and Becky; six great-grandchildren; Ryan, Ashley, Tyler, Cheligh, Katie, and Logan; two caregivers, Martha Wilkinson and Melrose Jackson.

Visitation: Tuesday, January 28, 6:00 p. m. until at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home in Claxton.

Funeral Services: Wednesday, January 29, 11:00 a. m. at the Bellville United Methodist Church with Rev. Michael Myers, Eld. Hubert Hendrix and Dr. W. Aubrey Alsobrook.

Burial: Canoochee Cemetery. J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home.

Lyons, Toombs County, Georgia - Thomas Aaron Edenfield, 69, died Sunday, January 26, 2003 at his residence.

Survivors: wife, Lavina Edenfield; son, Rodney Edenfield; daughter, Kathy Clark; and other relatives.

Graveside Service: 2:00 p. m., Tuesday, Inman Primitive Baptists Church Cemetery.
