Vidalia, Toombs County, Georgia - Mr. D. Edgar Barfield, 80, died Saturday, January 4, 2003 at his residence following an extended illness.
He was a native of Montgomery County and lived most of his life in the area. He was a retired barber, a U. S. Army veteran of World War II, and was a member of the First Assembly of God Church of Vidalia.
Survivors: his wife, Epsie Lee Chaddrick Barfield of Vidalia; three daughters, Janice and Peggy Collins, both of Collins, and Karen Helmy of Vidalia; one son, Jimmy Barfield of Las Vegas, NV; two sisters, Irpeel Blaxton of Vidalia and Joyce DeVitt of Augusta; three brothers, G. W. Barfield of Palatka, FL, Dr. Amos Barfield of Lake Park, GA, and Bennie Barfield of Douglasville, GA; six grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 6:00-9:00 p. m. Tuesday, Jan 7 at the funeral home.
Funeral Services: 2:00 p. m., Wednesday, January 8 in the Chapel of Murchison Funeral Home with Reverend David Knight officiating.
Burial: Pinecrest Cemetery with Military Honors.

Reidsville, Tatnall County, Georgia - Don Harrelson, 50, died Monday at his residence, under the care of Pearls Of Life Hospice.
The Toombs County native had lived in Reidsville most of his life.
Survivors: wife, Betty Harrelson of Reidsville, and five daughters, a son, two brothers, seven grandchildren, and a step-granddaughter.
Visitation: beginning at 6:00 p. m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Funeral: 2:00 p. m. Wednesday in the funeral home Chapel.
Burial: Pine Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

Fort Walton Beach, FL - Mrs. Annie Ruth Wilson, 68, quietly and peacefully went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, January 5, 2003 with her son, daughter, and son-in-law by her side.
Mrs. Wilson was born in Lyons, GA on August 26, 1934 to Vernon and Bernice Stephens Rawlings. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Debra Wilson, son Steven Wilson, parents Vernon and Bernice Rawlings, and a sister Leona Hanford.
Survivors: her loving husband of 51 years William Wilson; son, William R. Wilson, daughter, Patricia R. Dempsey; brother, Howard Rawlings; aunts, Melba Boyce and Mary McNear; uncle John Stephens; and four grandchildren.
Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p. m., Friday, January 10, at the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home, West Chatham Chapel in Pooler.
Graveside Services: 11:00 a. m., Saturday, January 11 at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
