James Elmer Campbell Obituary

Vidalia, Toombs County, Georgia - James Elmer Campbell, 82, died Saturday, July 12, 2003, at his residence after an extended illness.

He was a native of Dodge County living most of his life in the Vidalia area. He was a retired truck driver with Piggly Wiggly after thirty six years service. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, andwas a member of Ruths Chapel United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by a son, James Larry Campbell.

Survivors: wife, Louise Campbell; three sons, John A. Campbell Sr., Jackie G. Campbell and his wife, Martha, and Jerry A. Campbell all of Vidalia; two sisters, Millie McDonald of Vidalia, Ann Puryear of Reidsville; one brother, John Clifford Campbell of Milledgeville; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 7:00-9:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Funeral Services: 3:00 p.m. Monday, July 14, in the chapel of Murchison Funeral Home with Reverend Kathy Israel McLeod and Reverend Evelyn Duvall officiating.

Burial: Ruths Chapel Cemetery.

Liza Mae Dixon Faircloth Obituary

Lyons, Toombs County, Georgia - Liza Mae Dixon Faircloth, 89, died Friday, July 11, in the Bethany Home Nursing Center of Vidalia after an extended illness.

She was a native of Montgomery County living most of her life in Toombs County. She was a homemaker, a member of English Eddy Presbyterian Church and was preceded in death by her husband, David Scott Faircloth in 1968.

Survivors: son, David S. Faircloth and his wife, Margaret of McDonough: stepmother, Laura Mae Conley Dixon of Lyons; two sisters, Laverne Wilson of Savannah, Sue Ann Dixon of Lyons; two brothers, Hugh and Elliott Dixon of Lyons; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Graveside Funeral Services: 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 13, in Lakeview Memorial Gardens with Reverend David Aycock officiating.

Lucille Hughes Lanigan Obituary

Savannah, Chatham County, Georgia - Lucille Hughes Lanigan, 81, died Saturday, July 12, 2003, at Candler Hospital.

The Toombs County native was a longtime resident of Savannah. She was retired from Union Camp Corp.

Survivors: sister, Elise Santschi of Sylvania; brother, Horace Hughes of Columbus, GA; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside Service: 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 14, 2003 in Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park.
