Mrs. Lillian Hughes Maybin Obituary

Mt. Vernon, Montgomery County, Georgia - Mrs. Lillian Hughes Maybin, 78, died Friday, July 4, 2003, in Meadows Nursing Center of Vidalia after an extended illness.

She was a native of Montgomery County, living most of her life there. She was a retired nutritionist with the Montgomery County School Board with 37 years of service. She was a former member of the Eastern Star and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mt. Vernon.

Mrs. Maybin is survived by two sons, Gregg Maybin and his wife, Joyce, of Reidsville and Doug Maybin of Mt. Vernon; six grandchildren, Will, Thomas and Kiki Maybin, all of Reidsville; Michael, Ben and his wife Michelle, and Jeremy Maybin, all of Mt. Vernon; one great-grandson, Tyler Maybin of Mt. Vernon; several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home.

Funeral Services: 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 6 in the First Baptist Church of Mt. Vernon with Reverend Loran Smith and Reverend Tom Allen officiating.

Burial: Mt. Vernon City Cemetery.

Mr. Billy Joe Richardson Obituary

Vidalia, Toombs County, Georgia - Mr. Billy Joe Richardson, 68, died Thursday, July 3, 2003 at his residence after an extended illness.

He was a native of Berrien County, living in Vidalia for 66 years. He was owner-operator of The Print Shop of Vidalia, was a U.S. Army veteran who served in the Korean War, and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church of Vidalia.

Mr. Richardson is survived by his wife, Ann C. Robinson; a son, Steven Wayne Richardson and his wife, Pam; his mother, Myrtice Richardson; two grandsons, Adam and Blake Richardson; sister, Betty Williamson, all of Vidalia; brother, Jimmy Richardson of Metter; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, July 5 in the Trinity Baptist Church with the Pastor, Reverend Greg Shivers, and Reverend Don Moye officiating. Burial will follow in Pinecrest Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Trinity Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 592, Vidalia, GA 30475. Murchison Funeral Home Vidalia.
