Mrs. Amanda L. Bright Nelms Obituary
Glenwood, Wheeler County, Georgia - Mrs. Amanda L. Bright Nelms, 93, died Friday, June 6, 2003 in St. Josephs Hospital after a brief illness.
Mrs. Nelms was a native and lifelong resident of Wheeler County and had been a guest at the Bethany Nursing Center in Vidalia for the past six months. She was a homemaker and a member of the Stuckey Baptist Church near Glenwood. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, H. D. Nelms, in 1996.
Mrs. Nelms is survived by three daughters, Glenda Waldrep of Ailey, Joan Beacham of Charleston, S.C., and Peggy Braddy of High Springs, Fla.; three sons, Hugh Adrian Nelms of Vidalia, Ricky Nelms of Ailey, and Charles Nelms of Glenwood; sister, Jewell Gillis of Glenwood; 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation: 6:00-9:00 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.
Funeral Services: 11:00 a.m., Monday at the Stuckey Baptist Church with Rev. Randall Gibbs, Pastor, and Rev. David Knight officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

He was a native of Toombs County moving to South Carolina in 1968.
Funeral Services: 2:00 Sunday, June 8 in the chapel of Murchison Funeral Home with Reverend Henry Dowd officiating.
Burial: Pinecrest Cemetery in Vidalia.
