Metter, Candler County, Georgia - Robby Sam Findley 57, died Tuesday at the Candler County Hospital.
The Candler County native and lifelong resident worked for Pineland Telephone Co. and assisted with recreational ball. He was a Veteran of the Vietnam War, a Baptist and a member of the Big Buck Hunting Club. He loved sports and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was preceded in death by his mother, Emma Bird Findley Brown and sister, Loretta Findley
He is survived by two daughters, Shannon Lytell Findley and Monica Findley West both of Metter; three sons, Landon Coe Findley, Spencer Lake Findley and Pierce Tate Findley all of Metter; his father, Sam Findley of Jacksonville, FL; brothers, Gary Brown of Aline and Samuel Findley of Jacksonville, FL; six sisters, Bobbie Jean Findley Stephens of Vidalia, Shirley Brown Cowart of Twin City, Linda Ballard of Fernandina Beach, FL, Kathy Weldon and Stephanie Swearingen both of Jacksonville, FL and Cynthia Cox of Yulee, FL; grandson, Dalton Hernandez.
Visitation: 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Funeral Services: 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Cedar Street Baptist Church.
Burial: Mt. Olive Cemetery.
