Macon, Bibb County, Georgia - Mrs. Idell Allen Cheshire 66, died Tuesday , November 4, 2003.

Survivors: daughter, Cindy (Wayne) Hartley; sons, Ray (Susan) Cheshire, David (Joy) Cheshire; five sisters, two brothers, grandchildren and others.

Funeral Services: 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Shady Grove Baptist Church.

Burial: Alabaha Cemetery.

Ruth Alexander Obituary

Uvalda, Montgomery County, Georgia - Ruth Alexander 92, died Wednesday.

Survivors: three daughters and one son and others. Visitation: 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Funeral Services: 2:00 p.m. Friday from Cobbs Creek Baptist Church.

Burial: Hardens Chapel Cemetery near Lyons.

Martha Cumbie Daniel Obituary

Belleville, Tattnall County, Georgia - Martha Cumbie Daniel, 76, died Tuesday, November 4, at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia, after a short illness.

She was born in Atlanta, grew up in Lyons, and resided all of her adult life in Bellville, Georgia. She was a longtime member of the Bellville United Methodist Church where she was involved with the United Methodist Women, as well as other leadership roles in the church. She served her civic duty as an active member of the Bellville Lyons Club, through which she was awarded the Melvin Jones Fellow Award in 2000-2001.

Martha was widely known and recognized for her outstanding culinary and catering talents. She was both highly respected and well-known for her love of cooking and food presentation skills. No one ever went away hungry when Martha was cooking!

She was preceded in death by her husband, Olin Hines Daniel, Jr., and her parents, Alton and Carrie Cumbie.

Survivors: two daughters and a son-in-law, Louise and Carolus Daniel of Savannah and Elizabeth (Libby) Daniel of Savannah; three sons and daughters-in-law, O.H. and Kanda Daniel, III, Walter and Patty Daniel and Mark Daniel, all of Bellville; two sisters, Carolyn Plyler of Vidalia and Joan Bedingfield of Greenville, S.C.; a brother and sister-in-law, William (Bill) and Evelyn Cumbie of Vidalia; a sister-in-law, Nancy Cumbie of Lufkin, TX; nine grandchildren, Carolus Daniel, III, Carrie Daniel, Erin Daniel, Kayse Daniel, Lauren Daniel, Tessa Daniel, Walt Daniel, Chasity and Cris DeLoach and Corey Fennell; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Thursday, November 6, 6:00 p.m., until, at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home in Claxton. Funeral: Friday, November 7, 2:00 p.m., at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial: Daniel-Smith-Tippins Cemetery in Bellville, Ga.

Remembrances: Bellville United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 115, Bellville, Ga., 30414.
