Mrs. Iowa "Shorty" C. Anderson Obituary

Reidsville, Tattnall County, Georgia - Mrs. Iowa "Shorty" C. Anderson, 90, died Sunday night at Tattnall Healthcare Center in Reidsville.

The Emanuel County native had lived in Reidsville most of her life.

She was a homemaker and was a waitress for many years at Ruby's Restaurant in Reidsville.

She was a member of Ephesus Primitive Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Pierce James and Barney Anderson.

She is survived by, two sisters, Ethel Sikes of Reidsville and Marioum Amerson of Darien; brother, Bill Cowart of Reidsville; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the Chapel of Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home.

Interment will follow in Harden's Chapel Cemetery in Toombs County.

Mrs. Queen E. Price Obituary

Vidalia, Toombs County, Georgia - Mrs. Queen E. Price, age 96 of 607 E. 6th St. died Sunday afternoon August 22nd, in the University Hospital of Augusta after a brief illness.

A native of Toombs County, she lived in Vidalia for the past fifteen years, she was retired from Augusta Manufacturing and was a member of Collins Chapel Baptist Church of Lyons.

Mrs. Price is survived by one daughter and son: Venice and Walker Penland of Augusta; two sisters, Lucille Peterson of Vidalia and Louise Sellars of Marietta; one brother, Paul Brantley of Barnwell, SC; eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.

Funeral services for Mrs. Queen E. Price were held Tuesday morning August 24th, at 11:00 from the Chapel of Jones - Stewart Funeral Home of Lyons with Elder Jerry Lightsey officiating.

Interment will follow in Collins Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Collins Chapel Baptist Church Building Fund C/O Thelma Meeks at 263 S. Lanier St. Lyons GA 30436.

Mrs. Martha Lee Tuten Obituary

Lyons, Toombs County, Georgia - Mrs. Martha Lee Tuten, age 83 of 273 US #1 South, entered into eternal rest Sunday, August 22nd.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Conner, husband, Ashley Tuten; son, Billy Tuten and sister, Geraldeen Conner Tuten. She was a native and lifelong resident of Toombs County and was a member of Hardens Chapel United Methodist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother to all her family and will be sadly missed.

She is survived by three daughters, Gwen Wise of Bluffton, South Carolina, Sue Hildreth of Hilton Head, South Carolina and Betty New and son-in-law, Gene of Rincon; two sons, Steve Tuten of Berlin, Germany and Dan Tuten and daughter-in-law, Pam of Winston; one brother, T.W. Conner, Jr. and sister-in-law, Lois of Lyons; ten grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service for Mrs. Martha Lee Tuten will be Wednesday, August 25th at 11:00 a.m. at Hardens Chapel United Methodist Church with Reverend Harold Tucker and Reverend Bill Lee officiating.

Visitation: 6-8 p.m.

Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Hardens Chapel Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Hardens Chapel United Methodist Church, c/o Odessa O'Neal, 583 Maxwell O'Neal Road, Lyons, GA 30436
