Mr. Bobby Dan Cannady Obituary

Ailey, Montgomery County, Georgia - Mr. Bobby Dan Cannady, age 69 of 841 Braddy Road, Ailey, GA died Sunday, June 6, 2004 in the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center in Dublin after an extended illness. He was a native and lifelong resident of Montgomery County, was a an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, a retired farmer and a member of the VFW in Mt. Vernon. Mr. Cannady is survived by his wife, Ann Braddy Cannady of Ailey; one brother, William Cordell Cannady of Vidalia and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 7 to 9. Funeral service for Mr. Bobby Dan Cannady will be held Tuesday, June 8th at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Murchison Funeral Home with Reverend C. B. Easterlin and Reverend Jimmy Dupree officiating. Interment to follow in Blockers Chapel New Congregational Methodist Church Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the charity of choice. Murchison Funeral Home Vidalia.

Mr. Hoke Douglas Odom Obituary

Vidalia, Toombs County, Georgia - Mr. Hoke Douglas Odom, age 65 of 252 Tomahawk Trail, Uvalda, died Saturday, June 5th at his residence after an extended illness. He was a native of Toombs County moving out of he area in 1956 and back to Toombs County in 1991. He was retired engineer from the Georgia Department of Transportation with 34 years service. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, member of Solomon Masonic Lodge #1 in Savannah and attended Alston Methodist Church. Mr. Odom is survived by his wife, Carolan Thigpen Odom of Uvalda; two daughters, Kathy Mathis and husband, Robert of Uvalda and Tyna Owen and husband, Lonny of Alston; one brother, F.A. Odom and wife, Sandra of Alston; four grandchildren, Avery Mathis and Brooke, Allie and Abbie Odom; sister-in-law, Julia T. Palmer and husband, Dennis of Washington; brother-in-law, T. B. "Butch" Thigpen of Lyons; lifelong friend, Louis E. Cox and wife, Myrtle of Uvalda, several nieces, nephews, cousins and fr iends. Graveside funeral service with Masonic rites for Mr. Hoke Douglas Odom will be held, Monday, June 7th at 5:00 p.m. in Sharpe Cemetery with Reverend Dewitt Corbin and Reverend K.C. Seaborn officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Community Hospice of Vidalia, P.O. Box 2277, Vidalia, GA 30475 Murchison Funeral Home Vidalia.
