Joe Barrow Sr. Obituary
Claxton, Evans County, Georgia - Joe Barrow Sr., passed away April 2, 2005 in Memorial Medical Center.
The native of Bulloch County had resided in Evans County for most of his life. He was a Deacon, Trustee and member of the Liberty Fellowship Church of God of Prophecy. Mr. Barrow was a long time local painting contractor. He retired from the Armed Services with 22 years served in the USAF and the Georgia Army National Guard, serving during the Korean War and in Operation Desert Storm.
Survivors: his loving wife of 48 years, Alberta B. Barrow of Claxton; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Joseph C. Barrow, Jr., and wife Susan of St. Simons Island and Tim and Renee Barrow of Hagan; one daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Ken Seiber of Claxton; two brothers, Garland Barrow of Wrightsville and Jimmy Barrow of Lyons; two sisters, and a brother-in-law, Mamie (Pete) Rewis of Claxton and Sue and Larry West of Claxton; two sisters-in-law, Delores and Laverne Barrow, both of Claxton; six grandc hildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: Sunday, April 3, 6:00 p.m., until, at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home.
Funeral: Monday, April 4, 2:00 p.m. at the Liberty Fellowship COGOP.
Burial: Emmaus Cemetery.
