Vidalia, Toombs County, Georgia - Mrs. Kathleen Gibbs, 67, died Monday.
Survivors: son, Dwayne Lamar Gibbs, Sr.; grandson, Dwayne Lamar Gibbs, Jr.; brother, Robert Gillis; sister, Allie Graham.
Memorial services will be held 2 p.m., Thursday at the family residence.

Lyons, Toombs County, Georgia - Mr. Herman L. Jones, 94, of 319 West Wesly Avenue, Lyons died Monday, August 8, 2005.
He was born August 8, 1911 in Tattnall County, living most of his life in Lyons. He was former owner of Thriftway Food Store in Lyons, member of former deacon of First Baptist Church of Lyons and a member and past member of the Lyons Masonic Lodge #49, serving as treasurer for thirty nine years.
Mr. Jones is survived by three daughters, Susan Darrell and her husband, Jim of Statesboro, Kay Powell and her husband, Harry of Gainesville, GA and Jane Thompson and her husband, Mike of Athens; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
Graveside funeral service for Mr. Herman L. Jones will be held Thursday, August 11, 2005 at 10:30 a.m., at Lakeview Memorial Gardens near Vidalia.

Lyons, Toombs County, Georgia - Mrs. Grace W. Kight, 87, of 1298 U.S. Hwy. 1 South, Lyons, died Monday, August 8, 2005 at her residence after an extended illness.
Mrs. Kight was a native and lifelong resident of Toombs County. She was a homemaker and a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvie Lee Kight, Sr., a son, Harold Kight, and a grandson, Terry Jack McNair.
Mrs. Kight is survived by one daughter, Joyce and her husband, Jack McNair of Lyons; two sons, Bobby L. Kight, Sr. and Alvie Lee, Jr. and wife, Patty Claxton Kight both of Vidalia; one sister, Mrs. Radine "Betty" Ward of Mt. Vernon, nine grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Grace W. Kight will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 10, 2005 at Ronnie L. Stewart Family Funeral Service Chapel of Vidalia with Rev. Murray Ward officiating.
The family will assemble at the residence of Junior Kight, 1184 C.V. Mosley Blvd., Vidalia.
Interment: Lyons City Cemetery.

Savannah, Chatham County, Georgia - Mr. James Ruel Lamb, 70, died Monday, August 8, 2005 at his home under the care of Hospice Savannah.
Born in Bulloch County, GA., August 26, 1934, he was the son of the late Lucy Sparkes Lamb and James David Lamb. He lived most of his life here in Savannah. Mr. Lamb served in the US Navy and retired from Union Camp Corp., in 1994 after 41 years of service. At the time of his retirement, he was assistant supervisor of Power House Maintenance.
Upon his retirement, he began working for Commercial Electric Company. Mr. Lamb was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church, the Jack Byrd Sunday School Class and a member of the Epworth's Chancel Choir.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Katherine Arnold Lamb of Savannah; a daughter and son-in-law, Kim L. and Danny Morgan of Savannah; three grandchildren, William E. Hopkins (Stacy), Heather N. Hopkins, and James B. Hopkins all of Savannah; a great-grandson, Trey Hopkins (Papa's Little Angel); a brother, Dilmus Lambof Savannah; two sisters, Louise Grimes of Evans, GA, Aura Parham of Vidalia, GA and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 6-8 p.m., Wednesday at Hubert C. Baker Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Dr.
Funeral service: 1:00 p.m., Thursday in the Chapel of Hubert C. Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Ricky Bishop officiating.
Burial: Bonaventure Cemetery.
