Phronia Oatts, 78, Obituary

Vidalia, Toombs County, Georgia - Phronia Oatts, 78, died Tuesday.

Survivors: brother, Bucky Oatts; special friend, Sharon Winge, Vidalia.

Visitation: 6-8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.

Funeral: 10 a.m., Friday at Bethany Home Nursing Center with Reverend David Blalock.

Burial: Millen City Cemetery.

Murchison Funeral Home.

Phronia Oatts, 78, Obituary

Glennville, Tattnall County, Georgia - Mrs. Gwendolyn Jones Smith, 76, died Tuesday, March 8, 2005 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Savannah.

The Toombs County native was a member of the Glennville United Methodist Church where she had served in numerous capacities. She was also a retired teached and a member/officer of Delta Kappa Gama, Georgia. Association of Educators and the Tattnall County Retired Educators.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert, Sr. and Bessie Alexander Jones.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years Maxwell Smith, Glennville; daughters and sons-in-law, Celia and Wayne Anthony, Memphis, TN, Sylvia and Judd Bailey, Hartwell, Laura and Kerry Allen, Bonaire; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Phyllis Smith, Glennville, Daniel and Tabitha Smith, Glennville; brothers, Roy A. Jones, St. Louis, MO and Herbert Jones, Jr., Rincon; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m., Thursday at Cobb Funeral Home in Glennville.

Funeral service will be Friday 2 p.m., at Glennville United Methodist Church with Rev. Steve Posey officiating.

Burial: Glennville City Cemetery.

Remembrances: Glennville United Methodist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 352, Glennville, GA. 30427.

Cobb Funeral Home Glennville Chapel.
