Lyons Toombs County, Georgia - Mr. Billy Ray Cothern, 50, died October 15, 2005.

Survivors: brothers, Wayne Cothern, Wade Cothern and Ricky Cothern; sister, Wanda Pickern.

Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Vidalia Baptist Temple.

Burial: South Thompson Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Gwen T. Wise, 69, Obituary

(April 28, 1936-October 15, 2005)

Bluffton, Beaufort County, South Carolina - Mrs. Gwen T. Wise, age 69, entered eternal peace on October 15, 2005.

Mrs. Wise was born in Toombs County, GA on April 28, 1936 and moved to Bluffton, South Carolina in 1968 and has lived there ever since. She was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Bluffton and a very active member in the Happy Faces Senior group. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and sister.

Gwen was preceded in death by her parents, Martha and Ashley Tuten of Lyons.

Mrs. Wise is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Chuck and Coulleen Wise of Bluffton, South Carolina and Todd and Janet Wise of Jesup; four granddaughters, Sarah, Rebecca, Haley and Hannah Wise; two sisters, Sue Hildreth of Hilton Head, South Carolina and Betty New of Rincon; two brothers, Dan Tuten of Douglasville and Steve Tuten of Berlin, Germany, her aunt and uncle, T. W. and Lois Conner; her cousins, Helen Lawrence and Carolyn Swain all of Lyons and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her sons' father, Newton Wise of Bluffton, SC.

Funeral service for Mrs. Gwen T. Wise will be held Tuesday, October 18th at 11:00 a.m. at the Harden's Chapel United Methodist Church with Reverend Hilda O'Neal and Reverend George Moxley officiating.

Interment to follow in Harden's Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6 to 8.

Memorial contributions may be made to Harden's Chapel United Methodist Church, c/o Odessa O'Neal, 583 Maxwell O'Neal Road, Lyons, GA 30436.
