Lucile Stewart Ward, 89, Obituary

Ridgeland, Jasper County, South Carolina - Lucile Stewart Ward, 89, widow of Vernon Ward, died Saturday, September 17, 2005 in the Coastal Carolina Medical Center, Hardeeville, SC.

She was born in Lyons, GA on October 31, 1915. She was the daughter of Tollie F. Stewart and Della Jane Driggers. She was a welder for Mingledorf Shipyard during World War II; a mother and homemaker; a member of Gospel Baptist Temple in Claxton, GA and attended Faith Baptist Church in Ridgeland, SC.

She is survived by her son, Leverne Ward of Ridgeland, SC; one daughter, Marjorie Lax of Hardeeville, SC; two grandchildren, Janice Brown and Eric Lax and three great-grandchildren, Cody, Dale and Wyatt Lax. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 19, 2005 in the Faith Baptist Church, Ridgeland, SC with burial in the Bluffton Cemetery, Bluffton, SC.

Visitation will be from 4 til 6, Sunday, September 18, 2005 at the funeral home.

Mr. Harvel M. Young, 68, Obituary

(1937-September 16, 2005)
Burial: Collins Baptist Church Cemetery, in Tattnall County, GA

Vidalia, Toombs County, Georgia - Mr. Harvel M. Young, 68, died Friday at Memorial Medical Center in Savannah.

He was a 1956 graduate of Collins High School and had lived in Vidalia since 1966. He retired from Oxford Manufacturing and was a member of the Collins Baptist Church. Harvel loved to hunt and fish.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert F. and Addie Young.

He is survived by his wife, Frances Chester Young of Vidalia; daughter, Donna (Tommy) Young Mincey of Vidalia; brother, Rodney Felton Young of Stockbridge and a sister, Gloria Y. Webb of Nashua, NH.

Graveside funeral services will be held Monday at 10:00 a.m. at the Collins Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be Sunday evening from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Remembrances can be made to the Collins Baptist Church, POB 218, Collins, GA 30421.
