Mr. Curtis Ashton Cowart, 93, Obituary
Lyons, Toombs County, Georgia - Mr. Curtis Ashton Cowart, 93, of 217 Curtis Cowart Rd., died Saturday, September 3, 2005 at the Meadows Regional Medical Center after an extended illness.
He was a native and lifetime resident of Toombs County. Mr. Cowart was a farmer and a member of the Harden's Chapel Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Rufus Cowart of Augusta, GA and Jim Paul Cowart of Lyons, GA; one daughter, Shirley Grissom of Jacksonville, FL; five grandchildren, Michael Cowart of Jackson, SC, Gregory Cowart of Augusta, GA, Christine Murphey of Waynesboro, GA, Jimmy Cowart and Anthony Cowart, both of Lyons, GA; seven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral service will be held Monday, September 5, 2005 at 11:00 a.m., from the Harden's Chapel Methodist Church of Lyons with Rev. Bill Lee and Rev. Glenn Hancock officiating.
Interment: Harden's Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery.

Survivors: sons, Parker and Benjamin Newton; parents, Bill and Grace Parker and brothers, Steve, Barry and Donald Parker.
Funeral: 2 p.m., Monday in the Chapel of Murchison Funeral Home.
Burial: Marvin United Methodist Church Cemetery.
