Mr. Cecil Pittman, 86, Obituary

Veteran

Tarrytown, Montgomery County, Georgia - Mr. Cecil Pittman, 86, of 2286 Old Kibbee Road, Tarrytown, died Saturday, March 18, 2006 at his residence.

He was a native of Toombs County moving to Florida in 1953 and back to the Vidalia area in 1980.

He was a retired farmer and plasterer, a U.S. Army Air Force Veteran of World War II and attended Fairview Baptist Church in Lyons.

Mr. Pittman is survived by his wife, Helen Grace Calhoun Pittman of Tarrytown; seven children, Bobby, Kendall and Leanier Pittman all of Lyons, Ricky Calhoun of Bluffton, SC, Wilson, John and Christy Pittman all of Tarrytown; one sister, Josephine Haskins of Augusta; one brother, Howell Pittman of Lyons; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 7-9 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.

Funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Monday, March 20, 2006 in the Chapel of Murchison Funeral home with Reverend Glenn Russell officiating.

Interment: Braddy Cemetery near Kibbee.

Lyons, Toombs County, Georgia - Mrs. Pearl Anderson Underwood, 83, died March 17, 2006.

Survivors: sons, Fred and Larry Underwood and Roger Anderson and other relatives and friends.

Funeral: 2 p.m., Sunday in the Chapel of Murchison Funeral Home.

Burial: Harden's Chapel Cemetery.
