Troy Stephens Obituary

Uvalda, Montgomery County, Georgia - Troy Stephens, 80, died Sunday, August 11, 2002 at Jeff Davis Hospital.

He was a native of Tattnall County, living all of his life in Toombs County. He was a retired carpenter and attended Brewton-Parker College and Georgia Southern College and was a U. S. Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Rocky Creek Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George W. and Eliza J. Stephens; a brother, Carl Stephens; and two sisters, Viola DeLauder and Grace Huett.

Survivors: daughter and son-in-law, Helen and Johnny Sanders of Lyons; grandchildren, Michael, John, and Kelly Guin of Lyons; step-grandchildren, Tessa and Kelvin Sanders of Lyons; brother, H. R. Stephens of Lyons.

Funeral Service: 2:00 p. m. Tuesday, August 13, in the chapel of Murchison Funeral Home with Reverend Joe Phillips officiating.

Burial: Providence Baptist Church Cemetery.
