Savannah - William Carlton Rustin, 74, of Savannah, died Tuesday, Sept. 10, at Memorial Medical Health University.
He was born in Lyons and was a veteran of WWII, having served in the U. S. Army-Air Corps. He was retired from Union Camp Corporation, after 41 years of service as a Supervisor. He was a member of the Holy Church of God.
Survivors: his wife, Mrs. Lorine Pittman Rustin of Savannah; son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Agnes Rustin of Savannah; two daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia R. and Rev. Lawrence Butler, Sr. of Black Creek, Janice R. and Wayne Salter of Savannah; sister, Cleatus Jordan of Albuquerque, NM; nine grandchildren, Carl and Brian, Karla Prichard, Lawrence "Larry" Butler, Jr., Rusty and Patrick Butler, Joe, Alex and Sonja Salter; and six great-grandchildren, Matthew, Andrew, and Anna Prichard, Chelse and Eric Rustin, and Lawrence Edward Butler, III, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p. m. Wednesday at the Hubert C. Baker Funeral Home-Hodgson Memorial Chapel.
Funeral Services: 11:00 a. m. Thursday at the Holy Church of God, with Rev. Lawrence E. Butler, Sr., Rev. Ryan Ralston and Rev. Billy Dawson, officiating.
Burial: 2:30 p. m. Thursday at Hardens Chapel Cemetery, near Lyons. Mr. Rustin will be taken to the church at 9:30 a. m. Thursday to lie in state.
