Lyons - Mrs. Abbie Phillips Clifton, widow of Willie H. Clifton, died Saturday at Meadows Memorial Hospital in Vidalia after a short illness. She was 90 years old.

The Emanuel County native was a retired schoolteacher. She was a homemaker and a member of the New Branch United Methodist Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Laverne C. Mims of Hazelhurt; four grand-children, six great grand-children; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral: 3 p.m. today at Jones-Stewart Funeral Home, burial in Lyons City Cemetery.
