Mr. Robert Felton Young Obituary

Mr. Robert Felton Young, 91

Mr. Robert Felton Young, 91, died Wednesday, December 25, 2002, at his granddaughter’s home in Vidalia. The Washington County native received his BA degree from Georgia Teachers College, now Georgia Southern University, and his MBA from the University of Georgia. He was Principal in Alverton and Nevills, GA, and retired as Principal of Collins High School after 22 years there. He was a member of Collins Baptist Church and the Retired Teachers Association. He was predeceased by his wife, Addie Hall Young.

He is survived by sons, Rodney F. Young of Stockbridge and Harvel Young of Vidalia; daughter, Gloria Y. Webb of Merrimack, NH; brother, Frank Lewis Young of Sandersville; sisters, Madolyn Burkhalter of Augusta and Helen Woods of Macon; four grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Tuesday, December 31, at 11:00 a.m. at the Collins Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Alan McCoy and Rev. Ansley Jordan, with burial in the church cemetery.

Kennedy-Morgan Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel, was in charge of the arrangements.
