Mrs. Johnnie Mae Rogers, 67, Obituary

Mrs. Johnnie Mae Rogers, 67

Mrs. Johnnie Mae Rogers, 67, passed away late Tuesday night, October 4, 2005, at her residence. The Toombs County native had lived in Lyons most of her life. She was a homemaker and loved to fish. She attended the Reidsville Church of God.

She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Rogers of Reidsville; four daughters, Betty Harden, Rose Conner, Crystal Rogers, and Johnnie Faye Rogers, all of Lyons; two sons, Tommy Bryan of Reidsville and Pete Usher of Lyons; one sister, Lizzie Edwards of Reidsville; four brothers, Hubert Padgett, Junior Padgett and Roger Padgett, all of Reidsville and Roy Padgett of Lyons; fifteen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Chris Coursey, Johnny Coursey, Carl Coursey, Junior Harden, Kevin Coursey, and Freddie Murray. Honorary pallbearers were Randy Harden, Jr., Donnie Bryant, and Alexander Smith.

Funeral services were held Saturday, October 8, 2005, at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Poppell and Pastor William Prince officiating. Burial followed in the Harden’s Chapel Church Cemetery.

Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
